South Orange Juice recently participated in The East Coast Bias' annual BIG EAST bloggers roundtable previewing the upcoming season. The participating blogs were as follows:
Cincinnati Bearcats Blog (Twitter) | Connecticut The UConn Blog (Twitter) | DePaul Blue Demons Nation | DePaul Chicago College Basketball (Twitter) | Georgetown Hoya Prospectus | Marquette Cracked Sidewalks (Twitter) | Pittsburgh Cardiac Hill (Twitter) | Rutgers On the Banks (Twitter) | Seton Hall South Orange Juice (Twitter) | South Florida VoodooFive (Twitter) | St. John’s The East Coast Bias (Twitter)| Villanova By the Numbers | Villanova The Nova Blog (Twitter) | Villanova VUHoops (Twitter) | West Virginia The Smoking Musket (Twitter)
In Part III, TECB asked each blog to identify a must-see game this season. I chose UConn @ Seton Hall:
South Orange Juice: Must see - Connecticut Huskies at Seton Hall, February 5th, Newark, NJ.
Why: The Huskies have won the last ten games against the Pirates and 17 of the last 18, however, if there were a year the Pirates breakthrough, it's this year. I expect the Pirates to beat Jim Calhoun and his Huskies in New Jersey. And rather convincingly.
In Part IV, TECB asked each blog which teams from the BIG EAST might play in late March/Early April:
South Orange Juice: Although we've got 3 BIG EAST teams ranked ahead of them in the pre-season, I believe the Georgetown Hoyas are best equipped for a deep tournament run in March and I expect to see them in the Final Four.
