Recruit: Kelvin Amayo SF 6'4
On Seton Hall's List of 2011 Highschool seniors is 6'4 Senoir out of Nia Prep in Newark Kelvin Amayo.
Strengths: Amayo is a winner and gives 100% to win. He's an athletic, physical slashing type who can serve as a handler in a pinch but he's best in transition. On defense he'll gamble for steals and is a coachable player.
Weaknesses: For his size, he lacks a jump shot that he can hang his hat on and that prevents him from scaling any higher than mid-major.

Is he worth getting for SHU?

Amayo
Not likely coming to the Hall. They signed their three guards in the Fall period and will be targeting forwards in the Spring.
Guard rotation for 2011-12:
PG – Theodore (SR) / Wilson (FR)
SG – Cosby (FR) / Karlis (FR)
I can see the Hall picking up a JUCO point because Theodore – > Wilson might be a large drop off. A JUCO would balance the classes a bit more too.
Although Amayo was at some recent home games, I wouldn’t expect much.
Guards
I forgot about Hazell. If Hazell were to red shirt, he’d obviously start at SG.

He was in attendance for the USF game.
However, he tweeted that it was not an official visit.
