Big East Bubble Watch

Over the course of the next two weeks, we'll be keeping a running watch of the current state of BIG EAST bubble teams with respect to how the Pirates are impacted.

In today's action:

Notre Dame (19-10, 8-8) defeated Georgetown (19-8, 9-7), 78-64 in Washington D.C.

A big win for the Irish, bringing their conference record to a respectable .500, soundly defeating the #13th ranked Hoyas in their own building.  Notre Dame has now put together back-to-back beatings on the Panthers and Hoyas, however they'll have to finish their season home against UConn and at Marquette.

West Virginia (22-6, 11-5) defeated Cincinnati (16-12, 7-9), 74-68 in Morgantown, despite trailing by 6 at the half.

That should just about do it for the Bearcats who must now win-out just to bring a 9-9 record to the BET.  The problem with that? Their remaining two games are 'Nova in Cinci and at GTown.

Tomorrow:

Marquette (18-9, 9-6) @ Seton Hall (16-10, 7-8) 12PM

Win or go home for the Pirates.

Louisville (18-10, 9-6) @ UConn (17-11, 7-8) 2PM

The Pirates need to win out, however, receiving some help along the way would be greatly appreciated in South Orange.  The Cardinals have the tough task of defeating one of the hottest team's in the country in the Connecticut Huskies who will finish their season after Louisville at ND and at USF.
