The Pirates return to action after the long and painful, 9-month layoff. Tonight, marks the 3rd season that South Orange Juice (formerly, GonzoBall) has covered your Seton Hall Pirates and we thank you, the readers, for making it all possible.
More importantly, tonight marks the the first game that Jordan Theodore and Herb Pope will play as seniors at Seton Hall University. Quite simply, this team will go as far as Theodore and Pope take them. As a team, the players felt they deserved better than a pre-season ranking of 13 from both coaches and writers. That belief means little and nothing is deserved. We've heard stories throughout the offseason of improved attitudes, adding bulk and muscle, trimming fat, stories of outstanding performances in summer leagues and World University Games, but tonight, that all goes out the window.
Tonight, the games count. From here on out, every performance will be judged by an addition to the team's left column, or their right column. Welcome back Pirate fans, we're glad to have you with us. As always, Let's go Hall!

Interesting note, the PF expected to start for SFC, Travis Nichols is 6'4.
Paging Patrik Auda, put the ball on the floor, take it to the rim, shoot over him, whatever it takes I fully expect Auda to dominate his matchup.

As I said earlier, last year or the year before, we lose this game 10/10 times
But this team might have been terrible all game, but they for sure are mentally tough unlike all the other teams we have seen recently. Im proud of the way they played late in the game. Pope was awesome. Auda was awesome. JT stepped up big when it mattered. Karlis looked good. And Fu and Cosby showed flashes. We have to see more consistent offense. For about 23 minutes of the 2nd half and OT, they played great Offense, pounding the ball in the paint over and over again. However, for 22 minutes (1st half and 2 minutes of 2nd half) they just jacked up 3’s and such and that will never work.
