Another wild recruitment involving a Seton Hall target looks set to end soon.

Brooklyn point guard Kareem Canty (2012, Westwind Prep - AZ) told TheArenaPulse that he has trimmed his list to Marshall and Seton Hall and plans on making his decision sometime next week. Canty will make his announcement via his Twitter account

Canty has taken an official visit to Marshall recently and hosted head coach Tom Herrion for an in-home visit this past weekend. According to a source, Canty has also set up an official visit to Seton Hall for this Thursday but it is yet to be seen if the visit will take place.

Shortly after Kyle Anderson committed to UCLA last night, Canty tweeted "Lol about to see how this play out..." While vague, it can be assumed that this is in reference to the now vacant scholarship slot at Seton Hall. Outside of Canty, the Seton Hall staff is also looking at St. John's de-commit Jevon Thomas, who had planned on taking an official to South Orange sometime this month.

Kareem has undergone a roller-coaster ride of a recruiting process. Early this summer, Canty was a lock to Xavier before the Musketeers reeled in 2012 PG Semaj Christon. Afterwards, Canty tweeted that Seton Hall was the favorite for his services. Since, Canty has trimmed and expanded his list of schools too many times to count. The most updated school list that I unearthed included Marshall, Seton Hall, Miami (FL), Florida State and Dayton.

If Canty's decision is anything like his recruiting journey thus far, then his college choice may not even be Marshall or Seton Hall.

UPDATE 10PM, September 20th: Spoke to a source who said that Canty plans on visiting Marshall next week and is still planning on taking his official to Seton Hall this Thursday.

UPDATE #2 10AM, September 21: South Orange Juice has reason to believe that Seton Hall "would absolutely not" accept a verbal commitment from Kareem Canty, though it's important to note that stance was made prior to decision day, 09/20.
