This is starting to feel like Groundhog Day, isn't it? According to Edgar Walker of MarylandHoops.net, Aquille Carr has opted out of his transfer to Arlington Country Day (Fla.) and will begin classes at Princeton Day Academy (Md.) tomorrow.
As of last week, Carr was set on taking his talents to the Sunshine State. I initially pondered how Aquille would complete the charge-dropping 22-week domestic violence program with the House Of Ruth (located in Maryland) while schooling hundreds of miles away. Well, it looks like we have all received an answer to this question in the form of a more local transfer -- Princeton Day is within an hour's drive of Baltimore.
So, until further notice, Aquille Carr is now at Princeton Day for his senior season.
- Austin Colbert (Gill St. Bernard's, N.J.) is set to commit on his birthday tomorrow between Miami (Fla.), Illinois, Seton Hall and Villanova. Miami has been looked at as the slight favorite for some time now but Villanova has certainly come on strong in the last few weeks. Colbert had originally narrowed down his list to Miami, Illinois and Seton Hall but the senior forward unexpectedly added Villanova before taking an official visit and receiving a scholarship offer from Jay Wright last week. With Tyler Roberson a Syracuse lean at the moment, I would expect Colbert to commit to Villanova if he is indeed Jay Wright's backup plan at the 3.
- South Kent (Conn.) senior forward Kamall Richards committed to Xavier over St. Joseph's, Seton Hall, Providence and Penn State this afternoon. Kamall was scheduled to officially visit Seton Hall this weekend but popped for the Musketeers two weeks after visiting.
- Dwayne Morgan (St. Frances Academy, Md.) has narrowed his list to Indiana, Missouri, Seton Hall, South Florida, UNLV and Maryland. Morgan is a consensus Top 50 player in the Class of 2014.
