Opening Line (Seton Hall -1.5)

The Pirates return home after salvaging their final game of a three game road trip, defeating Rutgers on Wednesday night. Winning for the first time in their last seven games, the Pirates will attempt to keep their postseason hopes alive in defeating a Pitt team that opened conference play dropping their first seven. Pittsburgh's point guard, Tray Woodall was banged up earlier in the week and missed practice mid-week, but looks good to go this afternoon. However, the Pirates probably won't be as lucky with an injury concern of their own.

On Thursday, I was told Seton Hall backup center, Aaron Geramipoor will likely miss a week with an upper hip injury. With four home games remaining it's imperative that the Pirates hold serve at home to finish conference play with AT LEAST a .500 record. Let's give future Pirate (2013) Aquille Carr something to be excited about as he'll be in attendance, cheering on his future squad. Gotta have this one.

As Always, Let's Go Hall!

Apparently Sean Grennan was not seen at warmups

Do you think he might have left the team or transferred?

Just saw the tweet as well from Sugam on twitter.

Can’t transfer in the middle of the semester. Will update when I hear.

Not sure what Willard is doing...

When he continues to bench JT and Pope towards the end of the first half. His strategy of giving his star players a breather ends up costing us points and more often than not, the lead. JT and Pope will get a break during halftime so why give up our cushion before half? It is a terrible strategy. The only time it is appropriate is when someone is in foul trouble. But this is not the case.

Wake up Willard.. Our team looks solid though and we need to step it up in the 2nd half. Go Hall!

The Pirates are showing no heart in this game. Zero heart.

Getting out worked and out rebounded over and over again. Giving up wide open shots. Not moving the ball. Terrible effort here in the 2nd half. They don’t deserve to win

Pirates escape with a win

Once Fuquan fouled out (on an awful call) Seton Hall closed out on a 16-5 round. Impressive heart and passion shown by the entire team. MVPs were JT, Mobley, Cosby, and Pope.

The losing streak was only a slump

What you saw today was the team. Confidence and the shot was back. Pitt had to come out and guard the primiter and the Pirates were able to score in the paint. The defense kep them in the game.
