USA TODAY Sports

According to Adam Zagoria, Seton Hall freshman Kevin Johnson (Compton, Calif.) has been suspended from the basketball team. Johnson did not take the bus ride to Providence with the team.

Johnson, who is averaging 2.6PPG & 2.1RPG in 8.1MPG for Seton Hall, had emerged as the Pirates' back up center over junior Aaron Geramipoor. However, Johnson played just 6 minutes against Villanova and did not see the court against Marquette. Geramipoor has impressed over the last three games by playing solid defense, cleaning the glass, and bringing energy to the court.

We will update you as we are updated on Johnson's status by Kevin Willard before or after tonight's game. Seton Hall takes on Providence at 9PM on SNY and ESPN3.
