Stephane Manga commits to Seton Hall

USA TODAY Sports

Seton Hall fans thought they had received a commitment from 2013 JuCo forward Stephane Manga (Monroe College, N.Y.) several weeks ago when he and Fuquan Edwin revealed a little too much information on Instagram. Manga since visited South Orange with 2013 shooting guard Jon Severe (Christ the King, N.Y.) and 2013 point guard Kareem Storey (College of Southern Idaho, Idaho) two weeks ago.

Manga will be the first member of Seton Hall's 2013 recruiting class after Fuquan Edwin tipped his followers off by tweeting this photo. Unlike the last "Instagram commitment," SouthOrangeJuice.com is now able to confirm that Stephane Manga plans to sign with the Pirates on Wednesday when the spring signing period begins -- he was also recruited hard by Xavier. Manga has two years of eligibility remaining after graduating from Princeton Day (Md.) in 2011.

Manga, a 6-foot-6 forward from France, averaged 15.2 PPG, 5.7 RPG and 2.6 APG for Monroe College this past season. He is described as a physical, athletic player who can handle the ball well for his size. Manga can play the 3 or the 4 position.

With the addition of Stephane, Seton Hall has two open scholarships for their 2013 class, pending the status of point guard Tom Maayan and a potential outgoing transfer.
