Seton Hall just announced the additions of 2013 guard Jaren Sina (Gill St. Bernard's, N.J.) and 2013 junior college wing Stephane Manga (Monroe College, N.Y.) to the basketball program. South Orange Juice covered Manga's commitment here and Sina's here.
"We are thrilled to have Jaren and Stephane join our family here at Seton Hall. They are high caliber players with great character who will have an opportunity to make an immediate impact in our program both on and off the court," said head coach Kevin Willard, in a release from Seton Hall.
WILLARD ON SINA: "Jaren has a high basketball IQ, he is one of the purest shooters I have seen and has excellent ball handling skills. I am confident Jaren will thrive in our style of play. Without a doubt, Jaren adds a new dimension to our backcourt. It is exciting when we attract elite local talent like Jaren as these young men have the opportunity to play in front of their family and friends and share the experience."
WILLARD ON MANGA: "Stephane is a very athletic wing who is explosive on both ends of the court. He has a knack for scoring and excels when playing above the rim. Stephane will have the opportunity to flourish in our system as he can impact the game in a variety of ways."
We've heard that Seton Hall is no longer going after 2013 forward Darryl Reynolds (Worcester Academy, Ma.) as they are confident with the forwards currently on the team. The Kevin Johnson transfer rumors have also cooled off considerably.
The staff will continue to recruit guards as a part of the 2013 class. 2013 guard Nigel Johnson (Riverdale Baptist, Md.) is on an official visit to Missouri this weekend. He just received an offer from Kansas State yesterday and is being recruited by Seton Hall.
