Seton Hall published an official release on the additions of junior college guard Hakeem Harris (Connors State, Okla.) and 2013 forward Rashed Anthony (Flora Macdonald, N.C.) today. Rashed took an official visit to Seton Hall on June 27th and 28th before being approved by the NCAA clearinghouse and subsequently committing early last week. Hakeem committed to and signed with Seton Hall in late April.
"We are very happy to have Rashed and Hakeem join our family here at Seton Hall. They will both have the opportunity to contribute to our program and give us more depth at their positions," said Seton Hall head coach Kevin Willard.
"Rashed gives us the size we were looking for," continued Willard. "He is a skilled shot blocker with great length and leaping ability. Rashed will improve as he adds strength and commits to the weight room."
"Hakeem is a hard-nosed guard who has experienced success both on the court and in the classroom at his previous institutions. We look forward to the veteran leadership he will add to our roster next season," Willard concluded.
The only notable new information provided by the Seton Hall release is Rashed Anthony's stats from his senior season at Flora Macdonald. He averaged 18 ppg, 12 rpg, and 3 bpg at the North Carolina school.
