Isaiah Whitehead to visit Seton Hall on Saturday

USA TODAY Sports

Just two weeks after receiving a stunning verbal commitment from 2014 power forward Angel Delgado (Huntington Prep, W. Va.), the Seton Hall coaching staff has set its sights on another top talent. According to the player, New York City standout guard Isaiah Whitehead is set to visit Seton Hall on Saturday.

Verbally locking up Angel Delgado last month sent a message of intent to the tri-state recruiting area. Originally from Redemption Christian Academy (N.Y.), Delgado transferred to Huntington Prep for his senior season. His commitment comes hand-in-hand with newly hired assistant Oliver Antigua (St. Raymond (N.Y.), Manhattan College), who looks set to start work at Seton Hall this week. At the very least, the beginning stages of a recruiting foundation in N.Y.C. appear to be set.

However, Isaiah Whitehead is thought to have Arizona, Indiana (visited last weekend), and Minnesota at the forefront of his college list, which makes any sort of serious consideration from the consensus Top-25 player a tall task.

According to 247Sports.com, Whitehead and Delgado are the No. 1, and No. 2 rated players in the Class of 2014 from New York by a wide margin. This will obviously change since Delgado will play in West Virginia next season.
