Seton Hall Basketball Recruiting Chart
Hey Pirates,
I used to keep up a NC State Basketball Recruiting Chart over at PackPride (the NC State Scout boards) which combined all the links and ratings from Scout, ESPN, and Rivals. It got difficult to maintain by hand, so I automated the process, and threw a basic UI together and put it up on the web. I did the same for all the other schools while I was automating it. I threw in YouTube highlights and Twitter feeds for every ranked recruit that I could find, and added the depth chart at the recruits position for each of their offers.
I started cleaning up the rosters on the ACC teams first, and then moved on to the rest of the BCS conferences.
BTW, I haven't gotten to validating the active rosters for schools outside the BCS conferences yet, so that data will be inaccurate due to red-shirts, prep schools, junior colleges and transfers.
Obviously this info does not contain any of the great inside info that you get here at South Orange Juice, as they'll have all the latest and greatest on Seton Hall Hoops, but it might make a nice compliment to the info you're getting here. It's more of a 10,000 foot view if that makes sense.
Anyway, here is the Seton Hall page and a couple of your recruits' profile pages, (you can navigate to other schools at the top, its a bit wonky, but it should work if you select the team then hit the "Go!" button).
Let me know if you see any corrections, or have any questions. Hope you enjoy!

NIT: Seton Hall 63 Stony Brook 61, numbers and analysis
South Orange, NJ – On to round two. Seton Hall held off a good Stony Brook team, defeating the America East representatives 63-61 in the first round of the NIT. The game, held at sold out Walsh Gym on the Seton Hall campus, brought back memories of the days when all home games were here in South Orange. That discussion is for another time. Now, the numbers…
Seton Hall 73 Georgetown 55: The NBA efficiency numbers
NEWARK, NJ – WOW! Seton Hall again shot the lights out, knocking off 8th ranked Georgetown 73-55. Let’s look at the Hall’s NBA efficiency numbers and efficiency per minute from this Prudential Center contest. Only players with ten or more minutes are included. No Pete Dill did not get in so we are not leaving him out by requiring ten minutes ‘PT’.
St. John's game : The efficiency per minute leader is.......
NEWARK, NJ – Take a bow Pete Dill. The Manley/NBA efficiency formula for player ratings has been discussed here. Simply, we add the positives as points, FGM, FTM, rebounds, assists, blocks and steals. From that number turnovers and missed shots are subtracted for our total.
Seton Hall 73 Pitt 66 : Second tempo-free look
NEWAK, NJ- Two straight. In the Big East even modest win streaks are to be savored. Seton Hall won their second straight defeating Pitt 73-66 at the Prudential Center on Sunday. The pace and efficiency:.
Pitt: Pre-Game Tempo-Free
Seton Hall, off a much needed win at Rutgers, entertains Pitt at the Rock. A few pre-game observations of the efficiency order. Pitt is 4-8 and showing a negative five in efficiency margin (offense minus defense). On offense the Panthers average 101 efficiency while allowing 106 on defense. What you expect of a 4-8 conference team. Their overall pace is not surprising, a rather grind it out 65 possessions.
Notre dame 55 Seton Hall 42: Final Analysis
Newark, NJ- A little over a week ago, Notre Dame scored 58 in a losing effort at Rutgers. Coach Mike Brey lamented on how you can't score that amount and win in this league. On a night of surprises (St. John's over West Virginia and DePaul downing Rutgers), the Irish proved you can do quite well scoring 55 points. Provided you defend extremely well and hold the opposition to 42 as they did in earning their fifth conference win tonight at the Prudential Center.
