Around the Hall: Looking Forward to Temple

The Pirates have made frequent appearances on Jeff Goodman's blog for Fox Sports and this week they check in under the "Real Deal?" section:
REAL DEAL? Seton Hall remains undefeated, but how much do we really know about Bobby Gonzalez’s team since they haven’t played a BCS school yet? Sure, they’ve beaten Ivy League favorite Cornell on the road and taken care of UMass and VMI handily, but the Hall remains a mystery. Gonzo & Co. will get their first true test when Temple comes into New Jersey on Saturday.
There's certainly been a lot of talk about Keon Lawrence leading up to tomorrow's game, however the arrival of Jeff Robinson has gone a little under the radar.  Adam Zagoria profiles the impact the two players will make on their club:
"[Robinson] brings another really athletic, tough player who is multiple-position guy," said UMass coach Derek Kellogg, who recruited Robinson while he was an assistant to John Calipari at Memphis. "He can play anywhere from the two to the four. He’s a kid who works hard and is going to compete on every possession.

"He’s a hybrid forward who brings a level of toughness, kind of what Herb Pope brings to them, which is going to be really helfpul in the rugged Big East."
A New York Times feature on who else, but Herb Pope.  The author, Dave Caldwell, talks with Pope's friend and NY Jets shut-down cornerback, Darrelle Revis:
"I think that helped him — sitting out a year and getting his grades right," Revis said after the Jets practiced Thursday. "You can tell now when you talk to him that his mind-set is different. He’s very positive. He has a lot of positive energy. He’s happy to be eligible and playing ball."
As always, Let's Go Pirates!
