Seton Hall Basketball: Pirates Lead for Kareem Canty

New, 23 comments

Just hours after Xavier landed stud 2012 point guard Semaj Christon, fellow 2012 floor general Kareem Canty tweeted that Seton Hall is leading for his services

The Musketeers also received a commitment from talented 2012 guard Myles Davis nearly a week ago leaving Canty's decision to drop Xavier from his list a no-brainer. Canty tweeted a few days ago that Seton Hall, Florida State and Miami (FL) were the schools who were most actively recruiting and watching him on the AAU circuit.

Nearly a month ago, Canty completely opened up his recruitment after he had narrowed his list down to just four schools (Xavier, Miami (FL), Florida State & Seton Hall). To add to the complexity, Seton Hall had originally not made Canty's final list. Once eliminated, Seton Hall is now the favorite and apparently has been for some time.

While this is certainly good news, it has to be taken for a major grain of salt. Canty's recruitment has been all over the map and another school could be right in the mix a few days down the road. Would I love to have Canty and Anderson as commits in the Class of 2012? Absolutely. Will it happen? I bet Kareem and Kyle don't even know.
