Seton Hall junior wing Fuquan Edwin was named to the 2013 All-Metropolitan first team this morning. Edwin joined Iona's Lamont "Momo" Jones and Sean Armand, Long Island's Jamal Olaseware and Jason Brickman, and D'Angelo Harrison of St. John's on the first team.

Momo Jones won the 2013 Haggerty Award for best player in the Metropolitan Area, keeping the trophy at Iona. The Gael's Scott Machado won the award for his performance last season. The last Seton Hall player to win the Haggerty Award outright was Adrian Griffin in 1995-96. Andre Barrett received a share of the award with Manhattan's Luis Flores in 2003-04.

It's surprising that D'Angelo Harrison was named to the first team after missing St. John's last four Big East games and their two games in the NIT. Harrison was suspended for the rest of the season on March 1st after persistent clashing with the St. John's coaching staff.

If you missed it last night, here is the latest Seton Hall recruiting news, Aaron Cosby to Illinois, and a possible outgoing Seton Hall transfer.
