Seton Hall's temporary block of Kevin Johnson's transfer to Cal State-Northridge was short lived. The University put out a release last night that Johnson may transfer with no restrictions except for another Big East school.

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Kevin Johnson will not return to Seton Hall University next season. He will be granted his full release by the University.

"Kevin has decided to pursue other basketball opportunities. We appreciate his contributions to our program and wish him much success in his future," said head coach Kevin Willard.

Johnson appeared in 21 games for the Pirates last season. He averaged 2.5 points and 2.0 rebounds in 7.9 minutes per game.

If Seton Hall fails to land 2013 power forward Billy Magarity Jr., who is set to decide soon, they will have five scholarships to give out to the Class of 2014 -- six if Tom Maayan does not return for the 2013-14 season. Magarity is also considering Temple and Boston College.
