South Orange is becoming a hotbed for recruiting visitors this week. Two more targets, one new, one old, are on campus today for official visits.
Earlier this morning, Flora MacDonald (N.C.) coach Darrick Bond announced that 2013 forward Rashed Anthony is taking an official visit to Seton Hall today. Alex Kline chimed in later that Texas transfer Julien Lewis is also taking an official today.
Seton Hall has been on Rashed Anthony for awhile, but not much is known on the forward. He picked up interest from Boston College and Oklahoma last fall but his recruitment has been quiet since. Here is a scouting report from last spring on Anthony.
The more impressive visitor on paper is Julien Lewis. The former guard at Texas was surely wooed to South Orange with the help of Sterling Gibbs, who played with Lewis at Texas. Julien averaged 11.2 ppg as a sophomore last season and scored 7.8 ppg as a freshman. He averaged at least 3.3 rpg during both of his seasons as a Longhorn.
Julien Lewis was rated by Jeff Goodman as one of the top impact transfers just a few days ago. Fresno State was an early favorite for Lewis' services. Julien would presumably have to sit out the 2013-14 season due to N.C.A.A. transfer regulations.
