After visiting Seton Hall's South Orange, New Jersey campus on Friday for Midnight Madness, a source told SouthOrangeJuice.com that Samir Doughty will work out in front of staff from the Hall later this week.

Doughty recently earned co-MVP honors for Team Philly at the All City Classic last weekend.

A three-star (Rivals), Top-200 (247Sports.com) shooting guard from Philadelphia's Mathematics, Civics, and Sciences (MCSCS), Doughty holds offers from La Salle, Penn State, James Madison, George Mason, Rhode Island, UNC-Wilmington, and others. Here is City of Basketball Love's scouting report from April:

One of the most talented scorers around, Doughty has a knack for getting the ball into the hoop. He loves to play with the ball in his hands, where he can break his defender down off the dribble and score from all three levels. Definitely the type of player who gets up for big games, but needs some motivation when the competition isn't as tough, when he can get a little lackadaisical and careless. He is most effective playing in an uptempo offense, but isn't bad in the half-court either. Doughty has the ability to be a good defensive player, though he just doesn't seem very interested in playing defense all the time. He has many moments of getting lazy and allowing his opponent to score on him, and will need to work on his defensive approach as he gets to college. Due to his amazing offensive abilities, though, Doughty will get looks from schools in the AAC, A-10 and CAA

Here is a highlight clip of Doughty playing for MCSCS at the Montverde Academy Invitational Tournament last season:

With three scholarships to use in 2015, Seton Hall is likely taking a look at Samir Doughty before weighing their options. My take is that the staff won't take more than one guard in 2015.

Shooting guard target Dalton Soffer committed to Loyola (Md.) last week while Wings Academy (N.Y.) point guard Desure Buie has also been watched by the Hall's staff recently. After attending Seton Hall's Tip-Off Party and Rutgers' football game against Michigan this weekend, it appears Isaiah Briscoe will decide "soon", though a commitment away from the Garden State appears to be foregone conclusion.
