A 6-foot-5 class of 2015 shooting guard from Southern California that chose Loyola (Md.) over Seton Hall a little over a month ago, has decided to reopen his recruitment.
Sharpshooting guard Dalton Soffer (Gamepoint / Poway H.S., Calif.) was having second thoughts about his commitment to Loyola about two weeks ago when he officially decommitted from head coach G.G. Smith. A recruit of Kevin Willard and Fred Hill's, Soffer has set up an official visit to Seton Hall that starts this Saturday afternoon and includes the Pirates' exhibition against Caldwell (D-II) on Sunday.
Soffer has already visited Seton Hall unofficially in September, but wants to get a better look at the school prior to the early signing period that starts next Wednesday (Nov. 12th). Dalton is expected to sign during the early period, which lasts until November 19th.
Without any verbals in their 2015 recruiting class, Seton Hall is also hosting 6-foot-9 2015 power forward Myles Carter (St. Rita, Ill.) over the same time period on an official visit and 2015 scoring guard Samir Doughty (Maths, Civics & Sciences, Pa.) on an unofficial visit from Friday night until Saturday. Seton Hall currently has three open scholarships for their 2015 class.
