Seton Hall's recruiting class to feature at 2014 Mary Kline Classic

New, 26 comments

Isaiah Whitehead, Desi Rodriguez, Khadeen Carrington, and Angel Delgado have been selected to play in the 2014 Mary Kline Classic. The MKC rosters include 36/40 nationally ranked players, three McDonalds All-Americans, and six top-15 juniors.

A high school all-star charity game organized in 2011 by Rivals' Alex Kline to honor his late mother, the Mary Kline Classic has raised in excess of $55,000 since its inception, including $27,000 last year. The 2014 MKC will take place on Saturday, May 31st at West Orange High School (N.J.) from 6pm until the conclusion of the Senior Game, which tips at 9pm. The star-studded event will also feature a three-point contest, with Isaiah Whitehead participating, a dunk contest, in which Desi Rodriguez will compete, an underclassmen game, and much more. Tickets are $10 at the door, of which 100-percent goes to the National Brain Tumor Society and Brain Tumor Research at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

"This year's roster, venue, lineup, sponsors and everything else give the 4th annual Mary Kline Classic the potential to not only have another amazing event, but raise sufficient funds for a tremendous cause," said Alex Kline, in a press release. "The event will be an amazing collection of talented student-athletes, who will be exposed to the fact that they can make a difference on millions of people impacted by cancer every day simply through their participation in the MKC."
