Former five-star recruit Danuel House received his release from the University of Houston mid-April and has now been linked to Seton Hall.
Houston transfer Danuel House has visits set to South Carolina and UCLA. Iowa, Seton Hall, USC, UNLV, Iowa State also involved.— Jeff Borzello (@jeffborzello) May 6, 2014
While House's 6-foot-7 stature immediately raises questions about whether he's a forward, Danuel's game resembles more of a 'two' or a 'three' and that is the role he played for Houston last season. As a sophomore last season, House averaged 13.6 ppg and 5.3 rpg for the Cougars while shooting 33% (35-105) from beyond the arc. That number is just slightly worse than Jaren Sina's outside shooting record as a freshman last season (39/102, 38%); House also attempted 95 three-pointers as a freshman. Arthroscopic knee surgery sidelined House for nine games in the middle of the 2013-14 season
As Jeff Borzello reported, House has already set up visits to South Carolina (May 8th) and UCLA (May 13th).
Seton Hall is already involved with one transfer of sorts, Ohio de-commit Tariq Owens, who is set to visit South Orange on Friday before traveling to Tennessee on May 15th and Dayton and UT-Martin after that. I wouldn't necessarily say that either target affects the other since they play different positions, but Owens looks the more likely of the two to don Pirate blue next season.
