According to The Mount Fan Blog, Seton Hall will host Northeast Conference foe Mount St. Mary's as part of their 2014-15 non-conference schedule.
'The Mount won last season's NEC tournament before falling to Albany in the NCAA tournament but lose top three scorers Julian Norfleet (17.2 ppg, 5.5 apg), Rashad Whack (17.6 ppg, 4.3 rpg) and Sam Prescott (11.1 ppg, 5 rpg) to graduation. The three seniors combined for about 60-percent of MSM's scoring last season.
The lone time these two schools have met in the last 25 years, Seton Hall took the contest 107-75 in early December of the famous 1988-89 season where the Pirates found themselves in the NCAA title game. So judging this schedule by it's cover, it's a cupcake. But based on this historical tidbit, it's hard to argue with the reasoning for scheduling Mount St. Mary's, right?
Seton Hall's upcoming non-conference slate also includes the likes of Mercer, Rutgers, George Washington, the Paradise Jam (three games), and road trips to Georgia and South Florida.
UPDATE (6/6 2pm): Seton Hall will trip to Wichita State to start a home/home series this season.
