Seton Hall releases more details on non-conference schedule

Jim O'Connor-USA TODAY Sports

Following today's announcement on the 2014-15 Big East men's basketball schedulemore information is now known about Seton Hall's non-conference portion of their schedule.

The highlights:

  • Road trips to Wichita State (ESPN2), Georgia (ESPNU), and USF (CBSSN) will all be featured on TV. Seton Hall's massive test against the Shockers will now see several hundred thousand viewers at the very least due to being plugged in at the 7 p.m. time slot on ESPN2.
  • Rutgers' trip to Prudential Center on Saturday, December 6th was likely to be a noon tip since the New Jersey Devils play at 7 p.m., but now that is confirmed. FOX Sports will have the television rights to that game.
  • Seton Hall has just one 9 p.m. tip this season compared to five (four home games) last season. The lone late game is the Hall's trip to DePaul. This should noticeably improve attendance, TV ratings, and game day atmosphere.
  • Walsh Gym will be the venue for Seton Hall's clash with Maine on December 27th while students are away on break. The game is set for a cozy Saturday noon tip.
  • Seton Hall's home opener against Mercer on Sunday, November 16th will tip at noon.
