As outlined in my Creighton preview, Seton Hall really needed a win not only to trash their six-game slide, but to improve their post-season chances.
In the latest NIT bracketology from our friends at Big Apple Buckets, Seton Hall is now about a 3-seed in the NIT and would actually be matched up with non-conference opponent George Washington in this scenario. There isn't much difference between a 3- and a 4-seed as the Hall would likely have to go on the road in the second round unless the 7-seed pulls off an upset.
The other three six-seeds in this bracketology are Toledo, Kansas State, and Wyoming.
Going forward, Seton Hall still needs to win at least one more game between Providence, Georgetown and the opening round of the Big East Tournament to feel somewhat safe. Two wins over the same span would probably solidify a spot in the NIT.
